Dr Robert Ritz, Assistant Director, Energy Policy Research
Group (EPRG); Senior Research Associate, Judge Business
School, University of Cambridge, U.K.
Dr Robert Ritz is Assistant Director of the Energy Policy
Research Group (EPRG) at Cambridge University, and a Senior
Research Associate at its Judge Business School. He has written
extensively on competition & strategy (across a range of
sectors), on the industrial organization of energy markets
(especially for natural gas & LNG), and on market-based
environmental policy (especially competitiveness impacts &
carbon leakage). Robert also serves as a Principal of Vivid
Economics Ltd., a London-based consultancy that focuses on the
environment and resource-intensive industries. He holds a
DPhil in Economics from Nuffield College, Oxford, an MA in
Financial Economics from the University of St Andrews, and was
a McNeil Scholar at the University of
Pennsylvania/Wharton School. Before moving to Cambridge,
Robert was a Fellow in Economics at St Hugh's College, Oxford
and a Research Fellow with the Oxford Institute for Energy
