These exciting debates - organised by Global EVRT with the support of ESCP Europe, its Research Centre for Energy Management and the ESCP Europe Energy Society - will not only address highly prominent issues for aspiring sustainable cities and living, but also explore the future of clean transportation and mobility, sustainable living, technology showcases and innovation, the economics of EVs, and building the business case to accelerate EV adoption.

Epicentres of Green Mobility

London E-Mobility Conference
Venue: The Building Centre
When: 25th April 2017

On 25th April, 150 senior figures in the clean transportation industry are meeting to discuss the future of clean transportation and electric vehicles, focusing on the barriers, enablers and subsequent opportunities for the market to accelerate and take off.

Just three years ago only 500 electric cars were registered per month in the UK. This figure has now risen to an average of almost 3,000 per month during 2016, a figure that is expected to continue soaring. The latest EU legislation stipulates that by 2021, the average emissions of all new cars sold must be 40% less than what the average car on the road emits today.

Highlight sessions and interactive discussions will include:

  • Future trends in e-mobility and how these trends can be accelerated by action at the central government, local government and business level
  • Developments in the European EV industry: what are the emerging the economic and policy drivers to watch?
  • How do we establish the business case for electrifying the transport sector and what are the co-benefits that an integrated approach will unlock in terms of the decarbonisation of the wider electricity system?
  • How can you dispel common myths around EVs and make a compelling case to senior management and various stakeholders that the time to act is now?
  • How much is infrastructure delaying the market and what is needed to attract further finance?

Speakers confirmed:

  • Leon Daniels, Managing Director Surface Transport, Transport for London
  • Natasha Robinson, Head, Office for Low Emission Vehicles
  • Simon Birkett, CEO, Clean Air London
  • Samantha Heath, CEO, London Sustainability Exchange
  • Alejandro Agag, CEO, Formula E
  • Robert Llewellyn, TV Journalist, FullyCharged
