Conferences & Workshops
RCEM/ESCP Europe Events
29th October, 2016 at 10:30-16:00; ESCP Europe's London Campus

On 29th October 2016, we opened the doors of ESCP Europe's London campus to anyone wanting to know more about the School and the programmes it provides.

This all-day event combined presentations, workshops and panel discussions, all designed to give an idea of what happens at ESCP Europe, The World's First Business School (est. 1819). We also provided refreshments and networking sessions, allowing attendees to mingle informally with both each other and members of the School's staff and faculty.

Affiliates' Events
10th November, 2016; The HAC, London

We are proud to announce that ESCP Europe Business School and its Research Centre for Energy Management were taking part as a Supporting Partner at this year’s Energy Summit organised by The Economist Events. The conference took place on 10th November at The HAC in London.

Global energy markets are at an inflection point and the coming period will be characterised by a rapid decline in the carbon intensity of the global economy and faster growth in the deployment of renewables, fuelled by the Paris agreement in late 2015. Although oil prices remain low, the shift towards lower-carbon energy sources will prove far longer-lasting, creating profound implications for the energy industry and challenging the future of energy companies.

11th November, 2016; Church House Conference Centre, Dean’s Yard, Westminster, London

XXXVIII Annual Conference - Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the UK

We are delighted to announce that ESCP Europe Business School and its Research Centre for Energy Management were taking part as Media Partners at this year’s Organisational Resilience Annual Conference organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the UK. The conference took place at the Church House Conference Centre, Dean’s Yard, Westminster on 11th November, 2016.

The Chamber's most important event is its Annual Conference, first held in 1981. It was originally scheduled just prior to the International Monetary Fund as an informal get together of the participants en route from Italy to Washington or one of the other venues abroad. Over the years it has became a significant event in its own right and an obligatory date on the calendar of anyone dealing with Italy and the UK.

18th- 20th May, 2017; Metropolitan Hotel, Athens

The landscape in the new era of energy transition: Challenges, investment opportunities and technological innovations

ESCP Europe Business School and its Research Centre for Energy Management took part as Knowledge Partners at the 2nd HAEE Energy Conference organised by the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE) on 18th -20th May 2017 in Athens, Greece.

The HAEE is the Greek affiliate of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) - The conference will focus on challenging energy, economic and environmental issues.

Past events
29th September, 2016; 18:30-20:30; ESCP Europe's London Campus

Invited Talk on "How National Oil Companies, Established and Emerging Producers are Dealing with Low Prices"

Speaker: Dr Valérie Marcel, Associate Fellow, Chatham House

Oil prices have dropped significantly since mid 2014 and the effects are being felt around the globe. Falling prices is one of the most critical challenges faced by national oil companies, established and emerging producers as their revenues have been drastically reduced. Today's energy leaders need to successfully do business in an era of low oil prices.

22nd September, 2016; 18:30 - 20:30; ESCP Europe's London Campus

Invited Talk on: "Can LNG allow gas demand to grow in Europe?"

Speaker: Dr Thierry Bros, Visiting Professor at ESCP Europe Business School & SciencesPo Paris, International Gas Consultant, and Founder of Thierrybros.com.

Energy is critical to the address of some of the most crucial global issues. The industry represents one of the most amazing, dynamic, but also unpredictable sectors across the world.

Assessing the key factors for energy demand and supply going forward, the impact of climate change, the role of eco-friendly energy sources and what the future holds for the industry are some of the challenges faced by senior energy professionals.
